Faculty: Jeffrey E. Auerbach, Ph.D., MCC Executive Coaching: What You Need to Know
Most mental health professionals possess the
interpersonal skills needed to coach executives, but lack formal, advanced
training in the specific executive coaching skills that are needed to be an
effective executive coach. This workshop details the process of executive
coaching with its special concerns, ethical issues, and language plus discusses
the specific theories of industrial and organizational psychology that underpin
executive coaching.

Faculty: Rob Sproule, MS, MAPS November 10, 2007 How to Use Assessments in Coaching One of the most powerful tools in the coach’s toolbox is the ability to use scientifically validated assessments to add value to the coaching process. Sophisticated coaching often involves incorporating assessments to help individuals identify areas for potential growth and focus of the coaching relationship. (Please note that some assessment publishers have educational requirements to purchase assessments such as a college level course related to psychological assessment, however that education is not required to take this course.) A unique feature about the College of Executive Coaching is that we were the first coach training program to train coaches in how to use objective, scientifically based assessments in the coaching process. In the States, most high level, executive coaches utilize assessments to bring special value to the coaching services that they are hired to perform. In this way, managers and executives can receive objective feedback about strengths and areas to improve in, with regard to their management and leadership style. This approach brings much depth to the coaching engagement and is a useful selling point that the coach can use when introducing coaching to prospective clients.
