Training Requirements for the Board Certified Coach Credential (BCC)

The Board Certified Coach Credential is offered by the Center for Credentialing and Education and takes into account that   professionals with a Masters Degree in Counseling already have significant training related to professional coaching so only 30 hours of additional coach specific training is required to obtain this credential. 

 

If you have a Master’s Degree in Counseling the Center for Credentialing states that to obtain their BCC Credential you must complete

30 Hours of Coach Specific Training from a CCE Approved Provider

        Here is a summary of the requirements for Counselors for the Center for Credentialing and Education's Board Certified Coach Credential*:

     Master's Degree or higher in Counseling

bullet

      30 Hours of Coach Specific Training from an Approved Provider (

      30 Hours of post-college degree coaching experience with individuals or groups

bullet

     Endorsement letter form from one professional colleague  

bullet

     Written Exam (relatively brief and graduates consistently report it is fairly easy for them)   

          *Please see the Center for Credentialing and Education's website for official requirements and direct specific credentialing questions to the CCE office.

         Our training programs count toward the new Center for Credentialing Education Board Certified Coach Credential and the International Coach Federation Credentials.
