Dear Master's Degree in Counseling Colleague,

The Book:  Personal and Executive Coaching:  The Complete Guide for Mental Health Professionals by Jeffrey E. Auerbach, Ph.D.  Download of Chapter One.

The grandfathering period for Master's Level Counselors and Ph.D. level professionals in the behavioral health fields ends 12/31/11 to submit applications for the Board Certified Coach (BCC) Credential to the Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE).

If you hold a Master's Degree or higher in Counseling you have until 2/29/12 to finish the 60-hour Coach Specific Training Program required for the credential but you must submit the credential application by 12/31/11 to CCE or you will miss the grandfathering period.

Time-Limited Opportunity

We have researched this new credential -- the Board Certified Coach, compared to the other well-known, valid international coaching credential from the International Coach Federation -- and recommend that you apply for the BCC credential before the grandfathering period expires on 12/31/11.  We are happy to help you with this -- please call us at (888) 764-8844.  We also recommend that you eventually obtain your ICF Credential.

The College of Executive Coaching has designed four training options specifically to enable you to complete the training in time. You can complete your training in-person or via a 100% Distance Learning option.

To complete the required 30 hours of coach specific training you can attend our CCE Approved Six-Day, 44-hour, In-Person Intensive Coach Training Program in Las Vegas, Phoenix or Fort Lauderdale.  The College of Executive Coaching is a BCC founding CCE-approved coach training provider for the Six-Day Intensive Coach Training Program.  Or you could complete our 100% Distance Learning 30-Hour 100% Distance Learning Coach Training Program which consists of DVD courses and a Telecourse and is also accepted by CCE for the Board Certified Coach grandfather credential.

The College of Executive Coaching is a post-graduate institute, specializing in personal and executive coach training since 1999 and is approved by NBCC, the American Psychological Association, the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, the National Association of Social Workers, and other agencies to offer continuing education courses to professionals.

College of Executive Coaching is an Accredited and Approved Training Program

All our training programs count toward the new Center for Credentialing Education Board Certified Coach Credential and the International Coach Federation Credentials.

The Center for Credentialing and Education is an independent non-profit organization that manages the licensing exams for Counselors in over 30 states and has now begun to manage the Board Certified Coach Credential (BCC).

Several thousand professionals are obtaining their coaching credentials each year although the field is still in its early stages.  There are over 500,000 mental health professionals in the US but there are less than 10,000 ICF credentialed coaches worldwide.  Nevertheless, the Harvard Business Review describes the executive coaching field as over a $1.5 billion dollar industry and the personal coaching field only adds to that amount.

Please call us to register for your training to qualify you for the Board Certified Coach Credential, or the International Coach Federation Credential, at (888) 764-8844.  You can also register online for the complete 30-Hour Coach Training Program which qualifies you for the grandfathering phase for the CCE Board Certified Coach Credential.
